“No drivers installed” doesn’t necessarily mean no drivers installed; it can also mean no compatible drivers installed.
The most recent (and probably the last) driver for your MFP is here on Canon’s website. It’s compatible with Windows 8.1 which means it will probably work fine with Windows 10, or maybe not. You also need to install MP Navigator, even though it sucks lemons.
Without Windows 10 support, your MFP will eventually stop running properly, and later on it will stop running at all. If Canon is not supporting Windows 10 on your MFP, there isn’t a thing that you or Microsoft can do about it. It’s only a matter of time before my MP990 bites the dust, which wouldn’t be the worst thing since I hated it from day one.
