You can’t transfer it in its present format, or if you can transfer it, it won’t play.

WMP saves music files in .wma format, which iPod does not support.

I had a similar problem between 8.1and WMP and an Andriod Smartphone..

You can convert the .wma to MP3


As I had minimal luck with the converters, I deleted all my music, as I had the CDs, and ripped it to Media Player again, but this time saved in MP3 format.

But that method does not work in XP’s Media Player, as the MP3 Encoder was not included in XP’s WMPs.

Either rip your music from original CDs to a later operating system’s WMP and save in MP3 format or get a converter
