Support for XP ended almost 2 years ago.  As you’ve seen, more and more third-party software developers are releasing upgrades to their products that will no longer work with XP.  The handwriting has been on the wall for quite some time:   “Move to a newer operating system.”

It’s my understanding that Google has extended Chrome support for XP until this coming April. http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/science-technology/618584/Google-Chrome-Browser-Support-Windows-XP-Vista

At the moment, Firefox will still run on XP sp2 or later and Opera will also run on XP or later.  As far as I know, neither Mozilla nor Opera has announced when XP support will go away.

However, even though these browsers will have the latest versions of their own code — unlike IE, which only provides XP support through IE 8 — a web browser is only as
safe” as its underlying operating system.  For XP, that’s no longer very safe.
