Please provide the complete text of the error message.

Has this method worked in the past?  If so, what has changed recently?
Have you added anything such as a new mouse, a digital camera, smart phone sync software, etc.?

What is the make and model of your embroidery machine?
Are you using “Magic Box” or something like that?

  1. Open Notepad (Start > Run > notepad.exe > OK)
  2. Open System Information (Start > Run > msinfo32 > OK)
  3. After the “System Summary” information appears in the right panel, click Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy
  4. Paste the information into the Notepad window that you previously opened
  5. Click the + next to “Hardware Resources then click “Conflicts/Sharing”; again click Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy
  6. Paste the information into the Notepad window that you previously opened, below the earlier material
  7. Click IRQs and again click Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy
  8. Paste the information into the Notepad window that you previously opened, below the earlier material
  9. Click the + next to “Components”, then the + next to “Ports”, then click “Serial”; again click Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy
  10. Paste the information into the Notepad window that you previously opened, below the earlier material
  11. Click “Problem Devices” and if there is anything in the right pane, again click Edit > Select All and then Edit > Copy
  12. Paste the information into the Notepad window that you previously opened, below the earlier material
  13. Go to the Notepad window, click Edit > Select All then Edit > Copy, then paste everything into your response here.
  14. Close the Notepad window.  If you like, save the file of diagnostic information, but you don’t have to do so.
