  1. Check first for possible file corruption by running the system file checker. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.
  2.  Try to download the Windows Update troubleshooter.
  3. Try creating a new user account. Install the updates using the new user account, then check if the applications will show up.
  4. If it works using the new user account, follow the steps on this link to fix corrupted user profile.
